Gymboree is one of the biggest names in quality clothing for children, so it should come as no surprise that they have a great catalog of school fashions (and Halloween costumes- yes, already).
Gymboree has fun and playful couture for kids that are fun and playful. Convenient, don't you think? Like many of the other popular retailers of kidwear they understand the value of the the classics, and as such build upon them. The result is a solid line of timeless clothing and clever accessories.
On September 9th, Kate Moss will be dropping her autumn/winter collection at Topshop. Apparently, there will be lots of "printed chiffon, intricate embroidery, mohair knits, and dropped waist dresses" in this winter wardrobe.

The Children's Place is a one stop destination for the shopping parent of school-aged children. Hence the name.
They carry everything from shoes to underwear and everything in-between. Their clothing is cute and classic, sticking to seasonal influences more than those of pop culture. The result is a timeless quality that will look great on kids now and their younger siblings later.
Throughout most of his career, Ernest Borgnine wasn't exactly known for his dashing good looks, if you know what we mean. But now, at the age of 91, his youthful appearance is actually pretty impressive. He probably hears questions like this one on a daily basis: "Ernie, you're 91, you look so young and vibrant, how do you do it?" His answer is pretty revealing -- and hilarious!
Despite the fact that men prefer size 10, the idea that skinny models = tons of women with body image issues has been a hot topic for crusading do-gooders for decades. But with all the outrage over the supposedly sickly-looking models, nobody's ever been able to put a stop to the anorexic reign of size zeros. Even now, the UK's best chance at banning "unhealthy" models in the looks like it's wilting away.
The British government has been eyeing new regulations that would require catwalk models to pay for a £500 ($933) health exam and certificate before they could do any work on the runway. While we think that seems kinda steep, it actually gathered a lot of support. Now, without similar bans in major fashion cities like New York or Milan, London is worried about all kinds of negative fallout -- especially at London Fashion Week.

Other, less-severe measures are being put in place to protect the health of British models, like promoting a drug and alcohol free backstage environment. Why alcohol-free?
Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.
Junk Food Clothing makes t-shirts for everyone, man, woman and child, but they aren't for everyone. They are for the true connoisseur of t-shirt art. Their shirts are soft and weathered, creating a comfortable feel with a retro aesthetic. They combine eras of pop culture and original design with a result that is equal parts geek-chick and contemporary hipness.
Today, in the spirit of school (hey, school spirit!) we're looking at the prints for kids:
We have no idea who's behind Huaxing Classic Socks or if they make a quality product, but we're pretty sure they didn't pay Jennifer Aniston's head to endorse their "flaring panty-hose." We've been speculating on who this body belongs to for the last five minutes. Probably some random model -- but we like to think it's Cybill Shepherd.
The thing we like most about this example of unlicensed celebrity endorsements is the fact this hack designer's terrible Photoshop job will probably draw more attention to Huaxing's panty-hose than an unadulterated image of Jennifer Aniston ever could

Not much is bigger in the way of popular culture right now than superheroes, which makes geeks chic and true-believers the toast of the party (which we're finally invited to). It's time for us to blow the dust off our stash of comic books, take a deep breath and shout to the world, "I told you so!" After that it's best to drop it.
As goes popular culture, so to the world of t-shirts. While the superhero has been something of a mainstay over the years, the demand for cool shirts featuring the stars of comic and screen is now amazing (also: mighty, incredible, fantastic, spectacular, and uncanny).

We have just discovered what could possibly be our favorite t-shirt yet, which is really saying something. Really, it is.
EndangeredWear has brought together the timelessness that is the clever t-shirt with the shining awesomeness that is The Princess Bride. Classic.

Who wears short shorts? Your boss?!?
The New York Times is all a-flutter over the trend of men wearing dress shorts to work. Really? That's a trend? Click here. Debatably hot, but for formal work? Would you trust your trust fund to those calves?
The trend regrettably reminds us of those weird boys in school who wore shorts all year round for no apparent reason. Obviously, the men in the photos look more stylish, but we think part of them still may be on their way to Chess Club.
With age comes dignity, or so the saying goes. And with the world's leading sportswear brand, it's kinda starting to ring true. Now that Nike's been around for 30 years, infiltrating and dominating equipment sales in almost every major sport, they're starting to venture into the fashion world. Well, not very deep into it -- they're launching a "lifestyle" line called Nike Sportswear.
Apparently, the company is finally ready to acknowledge that everybody who wears Nike isn't a winner -- or even an athlete. The brand has been so fixated on smashing its way into every sport from football to golf to hockey, that they're just now waking up to the fact that even non-athletes want to wear their stuff purely because they're brand loyal.
For anyone who wants to get up close and personal with some of the Godfather of Soul's personal effects, a smattering of James Brown's jumpsuits, hair-care products, and memorabilia are being auctioned off this afternoon at Christie's in New York. We'd like to say it's because James Brown wanted to share some of his sex-machine fashion secrets with the world -- but really a judge ordered these items to be auctioned off to help his estate pay off a bunch of debts. Oh well.
Organizers hope that this collection of the Godfather's magical soul treasures -- many of them having to do with his always perfect hair -- will fetch about $2 million. Among the 350 items on the auction block are: his Grammy Award for Living in America, a green vinyl living room set, picks, combs, 80 rollers, hair lotion, and a few jumpsuits with the word "SEX" stitched across the front.

Come to think of it, there's probably no other celebrity who's left behind so many outfits that we want to buy.
After all of the drama that's been surrounding Project Runway for hi-tailing it to Los Angeles and Lifetime, the fifth season of the show finally debuted on Bravo last night.
As we mentioned previously, Victoria's Secret Pink Collegiate Collection is all sorts of fun and spunk for the college set.
What we didn't mention previously is that you can be a part of the Pink action. This Thursday, July 17th, will be the first annual Pinkapalooza. It will be held on the Santa Monica pier from 5-10 p.m. and the public (that's where you come in) are welcome. Click here to print your pass.
Those in attendance will be able to compete in rivalry games between USC and UCLA, as well as be among the first to shop the new Pink Collegiate Collection. There will also be a free concert by Fall Out Boy.
The party will be hosted by the new (and first official) face of VS Pink Miss Behati Prinsloo. We will be sitting down with Behati for a little Q & A. and we thought it would be fun to take along some of your questions for the lovely young model.
If you have a question about VS Pink, modeling or something else (within reason) that you would like to ask Behati please leave it in the comment section. We'll pick the best (not that there is such a thing as a bad question) and ask Behati on Thursday- you know, when we sit down with her. Yes, we've been bragging about this to everyone.
